"Maybach Lester Midnight Sunset 60s Slim Taper Aged"
The different shapes and neck profiles from the years 1957 to 1959 were our models for the MAYBACH® Lester models, which are made in our factory into optical and technical masterpieces. Whole hordes of guitarists have repeatedly redefined the magical sound over the last 60 years and actually it doesn't exist at all. Everything from Peter Green to Slash is included. The typical customer request for a "PAF" at AmberPickups is: "It has to sound old, but lively - preferably slightly nasal, but please with tight basses and a silky sheen in the highs." The hand-wound pickups exactly match the earthy rock sound with the the great guitarists of the last few decades bring our Sacculus* into ecstasy again and again. With the right amp/box, everything is possible here. By the way: a solid mahogany body including innards can even get in the way of a well-trained guitarist. Every MAYBACH® Lester therefore has the clear message: NO 4.0 kilos! Without a suitcase, of course. The MAYBACH® Lester models are exclusively painted with nitro paint in the colors black, gold, wild cherry, midnight sunset, havana tobacco and honey pie.
